I had the honor of knowing and loving Dr. G. Venkataswamy for over 25 years. I got to be a Seva volunteer early in the history of Seva. My favorite job was driving Dr. V. when he can into town. He was one of my best teachers in life. He taught me single mindedness in task. He would think about airports and McDonalds and how to use these successful models in creating the Eye Care System called Aravind.

In the last years of his life I was privileged to make a video of a few of the events Dr. V. was honored at. These are the events, plus the movie called "Infinte Vision". I know you will enjoy them and you can get a good feeling of his spirit. He remains one of my heros and teachers. I will always love him and strive to honor him. After viewing these movies I think you will come away inspired to be better at who you are. Doing good is everyones job that chooses good. I hope you choose good just because it feels like the right thing to do.

Was a spiritual man who lived a full life and accomplished his dream, which was creating the largest eye care system in the world, Aravind. He started with a 11 bed center and 26 years later his dream was a reality.

This memorial for Dr.V. reflects his great spirit and his great deeds on a very personal level. He will be missed and he will always be with us.
