February 2008 – Present (3 years 7 months)

In late stages of drafting a non-fiction book that deals with learning those first "hard truths" about life. What happens when the teenager's invincibility complex shatters? What happens to healthy young people who get cancer? The book deals with the trauma and eventual rite of passage that comprises that rude awakening that follows the proverbial "sleeping in" that is college. Contact me for more details.

Also applying for graduate study in Anthropology at Oxford - would love to meet anyone doing Visual Anthropology anywhere, or Oxford students at all!

Contact Jonathan for:

With my uniquely diverse background and my broad availability, I am open to a lot of opportunities. I am currently looking for part- or full-time in the SF Bay Area. With my background in the arts and mass culture, I am interested in work in the Fine Arts, retail, and photography. I love languages, and would be interested in cross-cultural education/preservation, translation, analystic writing or even cultural consulting. I am a writer at heart, and anything from catalogues raisonnées to walltext, weekly columns to press releases to academic research - will appeal to me. I am shopping locally right now, but for the right job, I would be interested in traveling to relocate, especially to another country. I am especially interested in work relating to China, France, fine arts, technology, culture and writing.
